Grounded Mats

Grounded Mats

Conductive mats are used in a variety of ways. Placed on a desktop, a mat can serve as a mouse pad, conducting through bare-skin contact with your forearms or wrists. Placed on the floor at your desk or in front of your favorite reading or TV chair, you simply put your bare feet on the mat. Thin socks will work as well.

The mats can also be placed on the bed, over your regular bottom sheet. You merely have to make bare- skin contact. Normal perspiration through thin layers of clothes, such as socks and pajamas, also permits varying degrees of conductivity.
Conductive mats have also been produced for yoga.

A dense inlay of carbon particles or silver fibers gives the mat conductivity when connected.
